| Applications
from students already enrolled in other medical
schools are accepted for transfer into both the
Basic Sciences and Clinical Medicine Programs.
Transfer students follow the same admissions protocols
as any other applicant.
Transfer
into the Basic Sciences Program:
Transfer credit for courses taken as a matriculated
student at another medical school may be awarded, at the discretion of the Dean or his/her designee,
according to the following guidelines:
- The medical school where the courses were
taken must be ECFMG-approved and W.H.O.- listed.
- The course was completed in its entirety.
Transfer credit will not be given for a course
if only the first part of a two-part course
was completed.
- A passing grade was earned in the course.
Transfer into the Clinical
Medicine Program:
Transfer into the Clinical Medicine Program: Transfer
credit for Clinical Rotations taken as a matriculated
student at another medical school may be awarded
according to the following guidelines:
- The medical school where the courses were
taken must be ECFMG-approved and W.H.O. listed.
- The rotation was completed in its entirety.
- A passing grade was earned for the rotation
and reflected on an official transcript.
Students seeking to transfer
into the Clinical Medicine program after having
completed Basic Sciences requirements at another
medical school must pass the USMLE Step I prior
to starting their clinical rotations.
